'Shahjahan' is Thalapathy Vijay's most loved film by fans which was directed by Ravi Appudi and released in 2001. Now, after 16 long years, the director is wielding the megaphone once again.

The movie which is titled as 'Seyal' has its story set at the backdrop of north Madras. The film has Rajan to be playing the lead role with Tejeshwar playing the female lead and Chandra the villain. In addition to this Manishkanth and Jayabalan of Aadukalam fame have also essayed pivotal characters in the movie.

The story reportedly revolves around how a don in North Chennai takes revenge after he is being beaten by the hero in front of people. Director Ravi states that he has decided to jump back in with a great story after 16 years and that this film will for sure impress one and all.
