In 2008, actor Kamal Haasan had acted in the movie Dasavatharam directed by KS Ravikumar, and this movie had him playing 10 roles with one of them being an American villain Fletcher. Fletcher character was paired with actress Mallika Sherawat, who made her Tamil debut with the movie.

Now after 12 years, Mallika Sherawat who has acted in many Hindi movies and also in several Hollywood movies including The Myth is making a return to Tamil films with the upcoming movie Paambaatam. Paambaattam will have actor Jeevan of Kaaka Kaaka and Thiruttu Payale as the lead and is a horror thriller.

Paambaattam is directed by VC Vadivudayaan who has directed movies like Sowcarpettai, Pottu and is directing Veeramadevi with Sunny Leone and this movie will have Mallika Sherawat playing a modern queen and she will start shooting from end of February. Paambaattam will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
