Action King Arjun in his 31-year-long film career had only once played the antagonist's role. It was in Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' ('Kadali' in Telugu, a disaster). But this was only till Vishal's yet-to-be-released thriller happened. Yes, he is once again treading the 'negative' path in the action thriller 'Irumbu Thirai', starring Vishal and Samantha and produced by Vishal Film Factory. The same will be released as 'Abhimanyudu' in Telugu.

It may be recalled that Vishal worked as an assistant director under Arjun's tutelage and the two have since shared a bonding. It's this relationship that they have shared for many years that has prompted the 'LIE' and 'Saakshayam' actor to take up the role of White Devil in 'Abhimanyudu'.

Directed by P.S. Mithran, the film has cyber crime as its main focus. Samantha Akkineni will be seen as Dr. Rathi Devi in this awaited entertainer. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
