While ‘Veere Di Wedding’ was experiencing its storming success, there came a disturbing news where Swara Bhasker who was known for her bold character Sakshi in the film was criticized by many in Twitter.  She was criticized for the provoking sequence that was  all about her pleasuring herself.
As trolling and slamming is nothing new for the actress, she told in an interview, ‘Yes, I did anticipate the hate that has come my way but I don’t think you should care about that as an actor and an artist. I don’t think you should care about what the reaction would be while performing as it is distractive, unhelpful and creates a fear that doesn’t help in the performance anyway’. She further said that she was not in any way surprised to be trolled for the masturbation scene.  ‘Our society is very hypocritical when it comes to standards for men and women. It is completely okay for men to do whatever they want. You can show men doing anything on screen. But for women, it becomes ‘oh bold’, ‘oh controversial’, ‘oh shocking.’ So, I knew I would be trolled’.

Having  said that the trollers’ narrow-mindedness and low mentality is being established through their trolls, she added, ‘In any case, trolling is you hiding behind the anonymity of your Twitter name being abusive or shaming people who you would not meet in life and even if you do, you would take a selfie. So frankly, I don’t have time to think about them’. Meanwhile she was also super happy as she received lots of love and support from many liberal minds on Twitter for the scene.

Hasn’t she perfectly slammed her trollers. What say?
