How did the celebrated filmmaker Shankar have a providential escape on the sets of 'Indian 2' on Wednesday night when a major accident took place? Here are the inside details.
IndiaGlitz has spoken to an inside source who informed that a heavy-duty floodlight was placed on the gigantic crane (that eventually came crashing down) and shots were being canned. Once it was completed it was required for the light to be shifted from one side to the opposite side and that was when the crane broke, causing the death of three technicians.
The source said that the '2.0' director was monitoring the shot on an LED display inside a tent-like arrangement and Sri Krishna and other ADs were also around.
According to the source, when the crane came crashing down, a heavy cloth fell on Shankar's head and he lost his balance. He involuntarily moved aside and that is how he was saved in the nick of time. It is said that the ace director sustained minor injuries but no fractures.
Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal too got saved narrowly.
