Before watching the movie "Vyuham," it's important to note how Ram Gopal Varma altered the names of real-life characters in the film. The movie, which faced several obstacles, particularly in its release, is set against the backdrop of Andhra Pradesh politics. Ram Gopal Varma's voice is heard before the film begins, making a declaration that the film is not intended to target anyone specifically. He mentions that any resemblance of the characters to real people is purely coincidental. To avoid any legal issues, the names of the characters were also changed in the movie. Here's how some of the key names were altered:
Rajasekhara Reddy was renamed Veerasekhara Reddy in the film. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's father, the former Chief Minister, is referred to as Veerasekhara Reddy in "Vyooham." Jagan's party, YSRCP, is also referenced in the film, but his name is changed to Madan, and his wife Bharati is renamed Malathi.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, along with his brothers Nagababu and Power Star Pawan Kalyan, are featured in the film. Chiranjeevi's name is altered to Kiranjeevi, Nagababu becomes Snake Babu, and Pawan Kalyan is referred to as Shravan Kalyan. The names of their political parties, Praja Rajyam and Janasena, are changed to Mana Rajyaam and Manasena, respectively.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party, is depicted as Tara Indrababu Naidu in the film. His son, Lokesh, is indirectly referenced in the movie. The character representing Indrababu's son is portrayed as constantly eating. The actor who played the role of Indrababu in "Vyooham" is Dhanunjay Prabhune.
The Congress party is referred to as the Bharat Party in the film. Additionally, Rosayya, who is likely based on a real-life figure, is named Kashayya. The director who shot a documentary for Chandrababu Naidu during Pushkara is referred to as Rayapati in the film.
These changes in names were likely made to avoid legal issues and other complications that could have hindered the film's release. Despite these alterations, "Vyuham" has finally hit theaters, and audiences are eager to see the impact it makes.
