This is a mega Friday

This Friday is just like a Pongal or Diwali day when you get to see so many releases on a single day. As this will be last two weeks before the end summer vacation six films are being released on May 21.

‘Maanja Velu’ after a few hiccups is finally releasing this Friday. It stars Arun Vijay and ‘Peranmai’ Dhanshika in the lead roles. Karthik, Prabhu and Riaz Khan also play important roles. Santhanam and ‘Ganja’ Karuppu take care of the comedy. ‘Maanja Velu’ is the second film in the combination of Arun Vijay, director A Venkatesh and Feather Touch Entertainments that gave the earlier hit in ‘Malai Malai’. Arun Vijay is said to have done hair rising action sequences for the film.

Giriguja Films International’s 'Kola Kolaya Mundhirikka' is a laugh riot. Director Madhumitha promises a fun filled two hours for the family ‘KKM’ comedy caper stars ‘Poi Solla Porom’ and ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’ Karthik Kumar. Kannada actress Shikha makes her debut as the heroine. While the story and dialogues are by Crazy Mohan, the screenplay is by Madhumitha. Selvaganesh has scored the music. The story is about a group of people in search of a fortune and their hilarious moments on the way.

‘Magane En Marumagane’ is another comedy for this Friday. Vivek is playing a solo hero for the first time in his career and his wits are bound to tickle your funny bones. Director T.P. Gajendran has already proved his mettle in comedy before. The highlight of this film may be Kushboo crooning for a song. The movie is produced by Rajendran.

JSK Film Corporation ‘Kanagavel Kaakka’ is a commercial entertainer. Karan plays a court peon who is sic of constantly hearing injustice meted out to people in the name of law. So he ventures to impart real justice. Haripriya is the leading lady. Music by Vijay Antony will have some memorable beats. It is directed by Kavin Bala.

K-Creations ‘Kadhalagi’ is a new generation movie in which every department is headed by a youth. Newcomers Ajay and Amrutha star in this KR Vishwa directorial flick. Other cast includes Krishnakumar, Shrishti Dange, Ajay, Amrita Chabria, Roshan, Santosh, Kashish Kapoor and Natchatara. Among the new cast Prakash Raj will be the only popular face.

‘Kadhalagi’ is the story of a group of youngsters who struggles for friends and friends who struggle for lovers. ‘Kadhalagi’ is a musical by Maestro A R Rahman’s sister A R Rehana composing the music for the lyrics of Vairamuthu. A R Rehana in this film tries a new variety Tango for the first in Tamil films.

‘Kuttrappirivu’ imported from Telugu also vie for the viewers this Friday. ‘Kuttrappirivu’ is a cop story starring Prithviraj and Srikanth as two police officers who are engaged in taming the naxals of Andhra. It also stars Kamalini Mukherjee of ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ fame and Pooja Gandhi of Karan starrer ‘Kokki’ fame. Director Manmohan's this film was first made in Telugu.
