Which company do you think is the largest private-sector employer in India? It's not TCS or some other well-known organization. It's Quess Corp, a staffing solutions entity based in Bengaluru. Quess, whose name is new to most of us, supplies grey-collar workers to companies like Amazon and Swiggy.
As reported by Times Of India, the number of employees on its rolls is 3.85 lakh. This is more than what TCS, the second-largest private-sector employer, employes (3.56 lakh) in India.
As per the report, most of Quess' employees earn anywhere between Rs 12,000 to Rs 40,000 per month. About 70 percent of them are aged between 21 and 35.
Experts say that the employee strength of Quess Corp proves that the gig economy is ever-growing in India.
