Actress Priyamani, who was launched by Bharathiraja in Kangalal Kaithu Sei, later went on star in many successful movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The actress had also won a national award for her performance in Ameer’s Paruthi Veeran, and was last seen in Tamil in the bilingual Charulatha.
Priyamani who got married in 2017 is working in several movies, and was last seen making her digital debut recently in the Amazon Prime web series The Family Man, where she played Manoj Bajpai’s wife. Now, the actress is said to have bagged lead role in a superhit remake.
As per reports, Priyamani has been approached to play the female lead role played by Manju Warrier in the Telugu remake of the recent Tamil hit Asuran. Earlier the team had planned to cast Shriya Saran in the role. While an official announcement is expected soon, it must be noted that Venkatesh plays Dhanush’s role in the Telugu remake.
