Reports about the development of 'Oh My God' sequel are doing rounds recently. It was reported few days ago that actor Pankaj Tripathi will replace Paresh Rawal as the lead while Akshay Kumar will reprise his role of God. The latest buzz about the project suggests that actress Yami Gautam has been roped in as the female lead.

A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama, "Yami Gautam will play the female lead in Oh My God 2, and she has a very crucial role in the story. While the last part was all about the fight of a man with God, this time around, the makers have come up with a unique story line that has three key roles to be played by Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam and Akshay Kumar respectively. All details however have been kept under wraps."

It's been around a decade since the release of 'Oh My God' and the reason that sequel has taken so long is that makers were trying to deliver an amazing and worth telling story instead of a normal cashgrab.
