The concern of malayaless about tuskers are not a matter of wonder, as the big, loving animal had been the centre of our social activities for quite a few centuries. Our festivals are never complete with out them in the proceedings and our film makers have also weaved plenty of stories in celluloid with them as the central characters. The latest to add to the list is the new movie from Jayaram titled as    `Thiruvampady Thampaan',

Directed by M. Padmakumar, the movie will have Jayaram as Thampan, the member of a wealthy Christian household named Aalangadu Thiruvambaadi Tharavaadu, headed by Mathen Tharakan. As pressure is now on Thampan to get married, he is finding ways to avoid various proposals coming his way. But once the stories about this relation spread far and wide, it starts an earthquake in the traditional village.

A movie with a storing family story by scriptwriter S Sureshbabu, the movie will also feature Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Janardhanan, Saadiq,Kochu Preman, T G Ravi, Nandhu, Babu Namboodhiri, Jayaraj Warrier and Resmy Boban in other important roles. While Kannada star Haripriya appears in the role of Anjali, Tamil star Kishore debuts into Mollywood playing the villain.
