'Thiruttu Payale 2' shows steady improvement at the box office

After 'Kandasamy' which released in 2009, director Susi Ganesan has made a comeback with 'Thiruttu Payale 2' which released on November 30. The film which is the sequel of Susi's 2006 super hit film 'Thiruttu Payale' has taken a good opening due to the positive word of mouth it has generated.
'Thiruttu Payale 2' has collected Rs.81,72,929 in the three day weekend between December 1 to 3. The film was screened 204 shows across 17 screens in Chennai with an average of 80% occupancy. This added to the collection made on the first day of release which was a Thursday, the total collection made by the film has exceeded Rs.1 crore which is a remarkable feat. The trade analyst say that there is a day by day increase in collection which is testimony to the fact that the film is attracting more number of audience due to word of mouth.
The film stars Prasanna. Bobby Simha and Amala Paul in lead roles.
