Pongal 2016 is going to be the most memorable one for Tamil movie buffs as many as four Tamil biggies will be hitting the screens for the festival after a long time. Out of the four films, 'Rajini Murugan' has huge expectation as its lead actor Sivakarthikeyan is on a roll with back to back super hit films and the film has been directed b Ponram after the blockbuster 'Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam'.

The film has been produced byN.Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers banner and it is having a delayed release due to the financial issues faced by the producers. The release of the film, which was ready for release in Mid 2015, was postponed at the last moment in at least two occasions. This has somehow made people apprehend that the release may be hampered this time too.

However, the official confirmation coming in from Thirrupathi Brothers allays such fears. 'Rajini Murugan' will release grand in as many as 800 screens across the globe on January 14, 2016, as scheduled.

The advance reservations have already started and the response has been phenomenal.
