Movies which told the inner stories of filmdom were always appreciated in Malayalam.

Be it in ‘Udhayananu Tharam’, ‘Chathikkatha Chanthu’, the recent Katha Parayumpol or in the 84' hit ‘Lekhayude Maranam - Oru Flash Back’, all the stories did well with the audience, who showered their interests in similar stories.

Now director Renjith, who is facing a set back after his continuous four flops is trying to revive his career by panning into the life of a director in his new flick 'Thirakkatha'.

Prithviraj appear in the movie as Akbar Ahamed, a director who is criticized for lifting storylines from a Hollywood movie for his first hit film.

Now the director is more cautious in selecting his story for the next flick, and is in a trip to find the right one that looks out and out original, without similarities.

'Thirakkatha' planned as a musical love story will feature six songs from Sharath who is all set for a comeback to film music scenario after six years.

The movie produced by Varnachithra and Capital Theatres will also feature director Renjith in a crucial role.
