With Brochevarevaruraa doing phenomenally well at the ticket counters, Sree Vishnu’s films are attracting a lot of buzz business-wise. To this end, the latest we hear is that even before the first teaser of his next Thipparameesam with Asura director Krishna Vijay dropped online, the film’s producers are laughing all the way to the bank. An emotional drama, it has been made on a budget of Rs 3 crore. Asian Cinemas has acquired the film’s rights for the two Telugu states by paying Rs 2.5 crore. The agreement also includes equal percentage share in profits upon release. The top Nizam distributors who also hold a chain of theaters will release the film along with Suresh Productions under their joint entity Global Cinemas.
The film’s Hindi satellite dubbing rights have been acquired by Zee for Rs 2 crore more than a couple of months ago. That leaves the film with its rest of India, Bengaluru rights and US rights—through which the producers can make somewhere around Rs 2- 2.5 crore easily. Mind you, Vishnu’s US market is on the ascent.
In the film, whose theatrical release will be decided by Global Cinemas, the likes of Rohini, Banerjee, Ravi Prakash, Ravi Varma, Praveen and Naveen Neni will be seen in supporting roles.
