The original movie made us laugh our wits out, an entertainment which never ceases out till date. The movie itself was a remake of Golmaal from Bollywood, a performance from our Superstar totally unforgettable. The movie was nifty and flawless in every single department, be it direction, acting, music or whatsoever. Now years down the memory lane, a remake with one of the actors in Tamil Cinema who constantly tickles the funny bone has been made and waits to enthrall us on June 14. Shiva has grown from a RJ to an actor whom the directors can depend on, and he has continued to innovate his tryst with funny movies. This time he dons the all very important role of "Indiran" & "Chandiran" enacted by our Superstar. Most importantly he is daunted the task of keeping up the name of the Classic Thillumullu. We do already know what Thillumullu is about; an unemployed youth so frantic enough to get hold of a full time job, in his last ditch at desperation clears an interview with a bag full of lies to a very honest MD of a company. And to keep up his "Good Boy" attitude he stacks up lies on and on, and the turnover of events is just one healthy roll over comedy. This time Shiva dons the role of our Superstar and Prakashraj essays the all-important role of an honest man bound by morale's and principles, which had Thengai Srinivasan in the original movie. The movie has another unique aspect; the music is crooned by MS Vishwanathan and Yuvan Shankar Raja. A dose of old spice with fresh juicy music indeed, this is the first time the duo have come together. The audio was launched recently and the music reviews are mixed as most of the songs have been retained as it is with some slight alterations. To mention about the rest of the cast, the heroine of the movie is Isha Talwar who makes her maiden debut in Tamil Cinema after acting in over dozens of commercials. Kovai Sarala, Sathyan, Ilavarasu, Manobala and Tollywood's ace comedian Brahmananandam is also playing a pivotal role in this slapstick humor movie. Not to forget Santhanam will also doing a cameo role. The movie is to be directed by Badri who also wielded the megaphone for Veerapu, Ayintham padai and Thambikku intha ooru. The movie is to be produced by Madhan.S . So watch out for June 14, it's a cult movie revisited indeed. Expectation : Above Average |
