Nayanthara has enacted the lead role in 'Anaamika' and the movie will be hitting the screens on May 1st.

Talking about the film, Nayanthara said that she has asked Sekhar Kammula to include the pregnancy part as in the original, but the director refused. " I asked Sekhar Kammula to include pregnancy. But he said that the role will be more challenging without pregnancy. It is when I agreed".

Reacting to the rumours that some people at the shooting spot really thought her as a goddess when shooting a scene and an actor really slapped her in a slapping scene, Nayanthara said " They are all wrong news and the shooting went on normally. Some spread these kind of news only to create hype on the thing ".
