They are throwing biscuits at us: Koratala Siva

Koratala Siva recently tweeted that even God can't save politics when it's becoming murkier and murkier by the day. "Only we can," he said.
"The political class thinks that people have resigned to casteist and communal politics. Our politicians distribute money, heat up the debate on purpose, stoke controversies and use caste to win elections. It's all vote bank politics. Many fields like science have advanced since Independence, but only politics is receding backward. Can't we change this state of affairs? If hundreds of people from different walks of life speak up against corruption in politics, we can definitely expedite change in our society," Koratala says.
"The politicians are throwing biscuits at us by appeasing different castes, by deploying religion, etc. We too have come to think that it's all part of the game of elections. How horrible it is!" the director says.
"There is no accountability. If people get aware and question, only then will the political class perform and inform us," he ponders. Politics is not like a city bus which can be used by any and every person, he opines.
Are such views going to be reflected in 'Bharat Ane Nenu'? "I raise questions in every film of mine. I question not only politicians but also people," he says.
