After creating phenomenal records with the teaser and last week released trailer Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Theri' is marching ahead like a lion to hit the screens worldwide on April 14, 2016 as a grand Tamil New Year treat for Tamil film buffs.

The confirmation that the film will hit the April 14 deadline came in the form of a Chennai based multiplex starting pre-advance booking last week. Now what we are going to tell you can be taken as a solid assertion that 'Theri' will be a Tamil New Year treat.

The overseas theatricals business for the Kalaipuli.S.Thanu have started. The distribution rights of the Atlee directed flick in North America (USA and Canada) has been grabbed by Cine Galaxy INC, a leading distributor of Indian films in overseas markets. The firm will be releasing the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film in these two countries with a large South Indian population. Cine Galaxy has been associated with many South Indian blockbusters in the past and proudly assert that 'Theri' will be a feather added to their cap.

Sources in Cine Galaxy confirm that 'Theri' will have a special premier show on April 13, 2016 a day ahead of worldwide theatrical release. The theater list will be published soon.

Cine Galaxy has also acquired the distribution rights of Superstar Rajinikanth starrer 'Kabali' produced by the same producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu and Suriya starrer '24' produced by the actor himself.
