The Trailer for 'Jersey' will be out on April 12. A grand pre-release event will be held on April 15. As is known, the cricket-based romantic drama will hit the screens on April 19, clashing with Raghava Lawrence's 'Kanchana-3'.
"People are saying that I have shed down my weight for this film. I ended up losing my weight after I started doing the film. Since it's a cricket-based film, weight-reduction happened without my effort. I have played a 36-year-old guy in the movie; I had planned to put on some weight but the opposite happened," Nani says.
"Cricket is not the biggest element of the movie. There is more to it. 'Jersey' is the most emotional film. Shooting for it was a great experience. On the final day of the shoot, it felt as if everyone was giving a farewell to Arjun (Nani's character). It was like working with close friends," Nani adds. The very word 'jersey' is associated with emotions in the movie, he informs.
"Producer Vamshi was my classmate. Those days, I would be an extra player in our cricket team, while he would be one of the most important players," he says, getting nostalgic.
"The film is set in three different time periods: 1986, 1996, and 2018. The cricket match that comes in the climax was shot for 14 days. We would kick off the shoot at 6:30 pm and the shoot would end only in the morning," Nani says.
