Days after 'Bujjigadu' actress Sanjjanaa Galrani was arrested in connection with the Sandalwood drugs scandal, BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje has alleged that there is a link between the drugs mafia and Love Jihad mission. She said that Sanjjanaa is actually a Muslim by religion.

"Actress Sanjjanaa Galrani is actually Mahira, who got converted to Islam in 2018. Love Jihad cases being reported across the country have links to Drug Mafia. The evil link between Love Jihad and Drug Mafia must also be seriously probed and their motive to stir the social harmony must be stopped!" the BJP leader from Karnataka alleged.

A whistleblower, too, has reportedly spoken about the links.

So far, there is no evidence to suggest that there is a conspiracy to wage a so-called Drugs Jihad on the film industry. The BJP leader's charge is a mere accusation at this point of time.
