In Athadu, Mahesh Babu did not do any comedy himself. Jalsa was different in that Trivikram made plenty use of Pawan's comic timing. Pawan's chemistry with Brahmi and with Prakash Raj worked well, though the film itself was not universally liked by all. Khaleja was a bit nightmarish for Tri because neither did the audience laugh at Mahesh's verbose style nor did the producer laugh his way to the bank.

Two years later, our celebrated dialogue writer is back with a genre he is best known for. "There is a good comedian in Allu Arjun. You will see him in a never-seen-before role," the writer-director says. Illeana's performance will be another highlight.

Julayi is coming with a message this 13th. How an irresponsible son/lover boy changes to the better and realises that there is no short cut to earn money forms the crux of the story. Is Julayi going to throw up the humour of Nuvvu Naku Nacchav and the sentimentality of Nuvve Nuvve? Wait and watch!
