Thee Nagar
After back-to-back success in Kokki and Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar as hero, Karan is eyeing for a hat-trick with Thee Nagar.
Thee Nagar feature Karan in the role of a student's union leader and paired with him is Udayathara. The movie is directed by debutant Thirumalai.
Karan said that he plays the role of a youth in pursuit of a job after his education. The travail he undergoes while on the job of making ends meet will have the commercial treatment and the seriousness the issue deserves.
"After the success of Kokki and KK, people expect a lot from me. I am confident that I would live up to their expectations in Thee Nagar. Thirumalai has done a good job behind the screen", adds Karan.
Thanking the audience for making both his earlier movies count, Karan says,"I am confident that Thee Nagar too would make it big. It has a strong message for today's youth".
Kerala girl Udayathara is into her second film after Kannum Kannum, on at a brisk pace paired with Prasanna.
Thirumalai is thrilled at the way Thee Nagar has shaped up. He says, "All credits should be given to Karan for his commitment to excel on the screen. He has played the role of an angry young man with ease. He has worked a lot in his body language, dialogue delivery and looks very fresh and trim on the screen".
He also heaps laurels on Jassie Gift, "The ace composer from Kerala has come up with very catchy tunes. The songs are very brisk and are different from each other. Jassie has delivered what was expected of him".
The other credits of Thee Nagar are Chelladurai (cinematography), Jassie Gift (music composer), Venkal Ravi (art), Vivek (dialogues), Snehan (lyrics) and Siva (Stunt Master).
