Theatres in Telugu States will open only, Then!

Industry big producers and Producers Guild officials, met over Zoom Conference Call to discuss about the Covid-19 situation in Telugu states and review the Industry situation with new developments like serial actors contracting the virus and new regulations by Governments to resume operation and possibility of another lockdown in states.

After passionate discussion and deliberation about world situation, Telugu Producers Guild took these decisions based on several observations.

- The loss incurred will be huge with regulations.

- Producers should try to help each other out.

- Regular shoots of ANY MOVIE should not start till August.

-Theatres should open only when four to five producers are ready to release their films with gaps in-between.

-If possible and everyone agrees, release blockbusters - recent or old first to check audience enthusiasm to watch movies at theatres.

-Ask all unions, including actors and stars, to reduce their remuneration or cut in profits until Industry attains stability again. This will be discussed further with Chamber of Commerce, officials.

-Producers Guild should be united in implementing decisions taken in future meetings.

All these decisions will be reviewed in the next meet based on the situations in July. Majority of the Producer Guild members are informed about these decisions they took during the Zoom conference call, say reports.
