The 'Vangaveeti' controversy: RGV meets

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,December 03 2016]

Even as the audio of 'Vangaveeti' is going to be released today at 5:30 p.m. in Vijayawada, director Ram Gopal Varma has met with Vangaveeti Radha, Rathna Kumari and Koneru Sathyanarayana to hold discussions.

This meeting comes in the context of RGV and producer Dasari Kiran voluntarily purging out the controversial 'Kamma Kapu' number after Vangaveeti Radha approached the High Court alleging a distortion of facts. Although this withdrawal was voluntary, on social media, RGV has since maintained an assertive tone, saying that he knows the facts well.

While the film is scheduled to be released on Dec 23, RGV seems to be leaving no stone unturned to avoid any pre- and/or post-release controversies by talking to those whose characters the much-awaited political drama depicts.
