The Train
Though his latest movie 'Doubles' met with poor results in the Box office, Megastar Mammootty is getting ready to meet his audience with a thriller in the title 'The train'. Earlier titled as 'Track with Rehman', the project has undergone considerable change now. This time the megastar will be once again coming together with Jayaraj, who has given him the critically acclaimed 'Loudspeker' last year.
'The train ' will be a real life take, based on the 7/11 serial train bomb blasts that rocked the biggest metro on the 11th of July, a couple of years ago in railway stations and seven moving trains of Mumbai. The movie is a take on the lives of Malayalee families affected by the bomb blasts.
Megastar Mammootty will come up as Kedarnath, a senior officer in the Anti-Terrorist Wing of Maharashtra Police. The character of Mammootty has shades of and will may remind you of the late ATS chief Hemant Karkare, who lost his life during the terror attacks that rocked Mumbai city on November 26 in 2008. Young star Jayasuriya will come up as Karthik, a track singer who is also a great fan of A.R. Rahman. He is also on board of this train on the the day of blasts with plenty of dreams in his heart, the biggest one being the meeting with a girl whom he had little acquaintances. But karthick has instantly fallen for her and they had decided to meet on July 11 at 6 pm. The movie will also tell the lives and dreams of few others who also met with the tragic end on the blasting trains.
The movie also features Anupam Kher, Angela Sabarwal, sabitha Jayaraj, Biju menon, Saikumar, Jagathy Srekuamr, Kiran, Alex, Sheena chawhan, K P A C laitha, Seenath, Vavchan, Augustine and Salimkumar in its cast lines.
Director Jayaraj himself has written the story and screenplay for this film which was shoot extensively at Mumbai and Ernakulam. Sreenivasan will handle the music department while Rafeeq Ahamed and jayaraj pens the lyrics for the five songs in the movie. Antony and Vijay Shankar will be in charge of the Editing while Seenu Murukkumpuzha and Thanu Balak handles the camera.
