T Subbirami Reddy, himself a heavyweight, is going to host a grand event as a tribute to Mohan Babu, on Sept 17. The purpose is to celebrate Mohan Babu completing a glorious 40 years of being an actor of acclaim. "Several political leaders from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, besides film personalities from across India will grace the event. The program is planned on a massive scale, and a monumental set will be erected soon at the venue", the organizers at the T Subbirami Reddy office have said.

Here is what is going to take place there: A CD of the top 60 songs of Mohan Babu will be released; Rajinikanth's forward to 'Best Scenes of Peda Rayudu' will be out; and a photo album from the personal and professional life Mohan Babu will be released.

Born as Manchu Bhakthavatsalam Naidu, Mohan Babu has been an actor of repute, an educationalist of high esteem, a former Rajya Sabha MP of standing and a respected public personality. A recipient of Padma Shri, he has honorary doctorates to his credit.
