The Third Version of 'Pokiri'

Tollywood has been catering to the demand of remakes in other languages consequently since sometime now. The long list of films goes endless with Mahesh Babu’s ‘Pokiri’ being the latest in the list. The blockbuster hit film ‘Pokiri’ starring Mahesh Babu and Ileana in the cast made a huge collection at the box office. It was remade in Tamil in the same title starring Vijay and Asin in the lead which became one more blockbuster hit.

Now, for the third time it is set to be directed in Kannada which has rising star Darshan in the lead. Apart from this, the Hindi version of ‘Pokiri’ with Salman Khan is under progress. The Hindi ‘Don’ starring Amitabh Bachchan was one of the popular movie that was remade for 5 times with the latest one starring Prabhas in the lead titled ‘Billa’. ‘Pokiri’ seems to be close with a count of four for now. All credits goes to Puri Jagannath who bought fame by churning out a mass entertainer that is being adored by audience of every languages and it’s a gracious honor for Tollywood.
