The streak ends

Mammooty's unbelievable and unprecedented run at the box office (nearly five hits in a row) seems to have slowed down.

The trade reports suggest that his new release Bus Conductor is no great shakes at the box office.

If anything, they suggest that the film to be a dud in terms of commercial potential.

After the fun of Raajamanickyam, Bus Conductor’s Kunjacko did not cut ice with the public.

It might be small (and dare one say perverse satisfaction) consolation for him that his competitors are also not doing all that well.

Mohanlal’s Tanmantra, though critically acclaimed, has also not gone down well with the average cine-goer. He has found the movie ponderous and slow-moving.

Suresh Gopi’s Tiger has also failed to roar.

So that will leave us with the next round of action.
