The saga of 'Lamhaa'

Thank god that finally the production of 'Lamhaa' has been wrapped up.
When we know that Rahul Dholakia, the man behind the highly acclaimed realistic flick 'Parzania', is directing 'Lamhaa', a very sincere non biased movie can be expected without any double thought.
So it would have been a great loss if this film had become the victim of any blown up controversies and had to be either shelved or put on hold.
Rahul must have surely thought that some problem might crop up when the shooting starts.
But he never would have thought in his wildest dreams that the leading lady will leave the shoot midway.
Bipasha fled the location after getting terrified by the curiosity of the locals, the slack security that was provided and some people stalling the shooting.
But she came back within a few days giving a great relief to both the director as well as to the daring financier Bunty Walia.
Before the production commenced, director Rahul Dholakia had said that 'Lamhaa' is a result of a tedious research to know the real reasons for the suffering of Kashmiri inhabitants.
He also had revealed that the film's story was created after meeting up with several people who were living in even remote places seldom known by the outside world.
Normally when the issue of Kashmir is portrayed through our films the criticisms always come flying from the people living in the state.
Most often this is due to their perception that the story of the film has been made without proper research or knowing the core reasons for the spread of militancy in Kashmir.
The maker himself had promised that 'Lamhaa' is going to be the first of its kind of movie on Kashmir and will give a completely different picture on the affairs of the state.
So don't you think that we would have lost a great chance to get enlightened if this film was left incomplete?
'Lamhaa' by completing its production has killed off the first hurdle that had come between it fulfilling its destiny.
Getting into the depth of the minds of certain decision makers and if possible become a catalyst in bringing never ending happiness to the people of the state is what is remaining.
And don't think that in the current times a film does not have the power to create a never expected turnaround or a revolution.
