Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt recently found himself in a quandary of sorts – and no, it didn’t have to do with his political ambitions – he had to turn down Big B’s request! Reports are that Amitabh Bachchan called Dutt to request him to give Ram Gopal Varma the rights to the title “India”. Director Varma apparently is looking to change the title of his movie Rann to India 24x7. But Dutt’s production company is going to be starting a film titled India, which is being directed by Soham Shah. And the actor had to decline!

Varma, who has a fondness for short and brusque titles like Jungle, Sarkar etc, first chose Rann because it means war in Sanskrit. But he discovered to his chagrin that the Internet was ablaze with news about Run! So the director settled on India 24x7, the channel run by Amitabh’s character in the movie, and had to apply to Dutt for the rights. Soham suggested using 24 x 7 instead, but that title too is owned by Percept Picture Company.
