MC Mary Kom, on whose life the movie was based, has made India proud by winning her maiden Gold at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea. Priyanka Chopra, who had reprised Mary Kom in the movie, took to Twitter to express her elation and congratulated her shero`.

Priyanka Chopra was applauded for her portrayal of MC Mary Kom in the movie and was time and again saying how she feels related to the character and salutes Mary Kom`s spirit and determination. Even yesterday, Priyanka had wished Mary Kom luck for the penultimate bout.

Vishal Dadlani, who has sung two songs in the movie Mary Kom` also praised the boxer. Not only the sports personalities, many film celebrities are also tweeting to praise this Gold win.
