Few times is Freedom of Expression too frivolous to have any consequence. This applies in the case of Rakhi Sawant than anyone else. (The only other 'R' to fit this description has to be RGV. Like Rakhi's, his 'expressions' too have led to feature write-ups being produced if only to tell the readers that the views don't matter!).

Ever since Rakhi Sawant announced in front of scores of media persons that the ceiling fan has to be banned because many women were committing suicide hanging to the ceiling fan (following Prathyusha Banerjee's suicide), many have sarcastically asked as to why the ceiling itself couldn't be abolished! After all, no ceiling, no suicide by hanging. Before you jump to baseless conclusions like Rakhi possibly talking at the behest of some lobby of AC makers, let it be told that Rakhi is a repeat tickler of the funny bone.

In the past, the 2014 Rashtriya Aam Party LS candidate has waxed eloquent on Narendra Modi and, not surprisingly, Rahul Gandhi. When someone treacherously compared her to Sunny Leone, the great thinker suggested that she should instead be compared to the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Madonna.

Forget Sampoornesh Babu, the real Burning Star is Rakhi Sawant.
