Midhun Manuel Thomas is pepping up for his third movie after Aadu and Ann Maria Kalippillannu. He had also written the script of Om Shanthi Oshana.

The film as the title denotes about Alamara. Alamara is given as part of dowry in Kerala weddings. So in this story it is takes us through how Alamara creates havoc in their life.

The film is a satire and has Sunny Wayne as the hero and Aditi Ravi playing his wife`s role. Renji Panicker is appearing as his dad. Other casts include Saiju Kurup, Sudhi Koppa and Manikandan.

The title is very attracted and the plot can be understood from the title itself. The director said that he had asked the designer to adopt the color of wood in title, but the designer Sibi came up with a title that is designed like an Alamara which is very good and attractive.
