The reason is that the photo which had a person posing like a joker was popularized as the Superstar Rajinikanth sporting the joker getup for his upcoming film Kabali` to be directed by Pa.Ranjith.

Once the photo surfaced online it was shared by thousands and thousands of Rajinikanth fans present in Social media. No one had an iota of doubt as the person in the photo had the sparkling eyes and a sharp nose, considered as,the unique features of the much loved Superstar`s face.

But now it has been confirmed that the picture is no way connected to the Thalaivar` or his upcoming film Kabali`. The person sporting the joker's look in that picture is Television anchor and actor Ma.Ka.Pa.Anand, who claims himself to be an ardent fan of Rajinikanth.

Rajini fans in the social media have taken it to their stride and have turned this prank as an indicator of how popular is Rajinikanth. Now they are asking us to imagine what would be the gigantic level of response to the original first look poster of Kabali` if the fake one had this many number of shares and likes.
