The noise around Andhadhun remake and its directors

Although there is no official word on whether Tagore Madhu and Sudhakar Reddy have the Telugu remake rights of Bollywood super hit Andhadhun with them, speculations are rife that Nithiin will be fronting it after he wraps up his current set of films with Venky Kudumula, Chandrasekhar Yeleti and Venky Atluri.
Sudheer Varma’s name was attached to helm it initially but on Thursday, the name of Harish Shankar popped up. Giving more weight to the buzz of is the fact that Nithiin is in talks to do a guest appearance in the latter’s Valmiki. However, sources indicate that neither Harish been approached by anyone to associate with the remake nor he is in the know about of who has the rights. Even if he is, the chances of him overlooking it are more as he is not a fan of directing two remakes back to back. His next release Valmiki is a remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda.
On the other hand, Sudheer, who has a fetish for thrillers, is not averse to the idea. He liked Andhadhun and if someone indeed approaches him, he is more than happy to put his next, an action adventure, aside to direct Andhadhun. Released last October, Andhadhun, top-lined by Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Anil Dhawan in key roles, is a murder drama at the center of which is a pianist who may or may not be blind. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, it was raved for its unconventional plot, edge-of-the-seat narrative style, as well as the acting of its lead and supporting characters.
