The New Indian Express one of the most prominent dailies of India had got it all wrong in their headlines on the newstory of Isaigniani Ilayaraja being conferred with the Padma Vibushan the second highest civilian award of the nation.  They had tried to bring in the caste angle by stating  "Dalit outreach with Ilayaraja Padma".  Also Read : Kasthuri spits on and tears Newspaper that insulted Ilayaraja

The newspaper has rendered an apology to the Isaigniani addressing him as Maestro Ilayaraja and stating that it did not mean to diminish his stature by any means and lauding him that he is universally acclaimed for his singular achievements in the field of music and recognition given in to him is entirely on this account and no other factor.   Well lets wait and see how the millions of Raja fans react to that.
