The teaser of Amazon Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power released a new teaser trailer giving a deeper look at the world of the big-budget spectacle. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is an epic and ambitious telling of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth, and launches globally on Prime Video on September 2, 2022. It is said to be the most expensive TV or web series in history.
The nearly two-and-a-half-minute The Rings of Power trailer begins with a voiceover about a “time when the Earth was so young”, setting the stage for what is to follow. We are soon introduced to some of the realms that will be explored this time around. The teaser shows glimpses of a young Galadriel and Halbrand. It also delves deeper into the history and politics of Tolkien's Middle Earth and a lot more of the stunning scale and landscape of the big-budget show.
The teaser trailer also highlights some of the realms viewers will visit over the course of the eight-part series, including the Elven realms of Lindon and Eregion, the Dwarven realm Khazad-dûm, the Southlands, the Northernmost Wastes, the Sundering Seas, apart from Númenór.
