Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Alia Bhatt starrer film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is egarly awaited by the fans. The film has gone through several hurdles so far including the director and lead star suffering from Covid-19. The film has been in production for almost two years now, it was supposed to be completed and released in 2020 itself but the pandemic ruined those plans.
The latest reports suggest that the film is just three days away from the wrap up but due to the ongoing lockdown, the filming couldn't take place. The reports also suggest that the hiatus is causing the production almsot 3 lakh rupees everyday.
A source told a news outlet, "Gangubai Kathiawadi needs only three more shooting days. It’s part of a background song filmed on Alia Bhatt—she has no lip-sync songs in this film—which is almost complete. Bhansali was on the verge of completing it when shooting was called off.”
It further stated, "It’s costing the co-producers Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada close to 3 lakh rupees per day to keep the set from being demolished. This works out less uneconomical than re-constructing the set when shooting resumes.”
