'The Lion King' is one of the, if not the most popular animated epic film that became a household possession after its release in 1994 and is still loved with the same adulation. Walt Disney has come out with a live action remake of the film which stars the voices of Donald Glover as the lion prince Simba and James Earl Jones returning as the Lion King Mufasa.

The official synopsis of 'The Lion King' (2019) reads “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

Directed by Jon Favreau the other ensemble cast of 'The Lion King' include Seth Rogan as Pumbaa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villain Scar, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Oliver as Zazu, Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari and Beyonce Knowles as Nala the childhood friend and love interest of Simba.
