Filmmaker Karan Johar has become the latest Bollywood celeb to heap praises on Vivek Agnihotri's recently released film 'The Kashmir Files' and acknowledge its success. Based on the 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, 'The Kashmir Files' was released around 3 weeks back and it has collected around 250 crore rupees on box office.

Apart from that, several mainstream stars also praised the film for its depiction and representation of pain of oppressed Kashmiris. In a recent conversation with Galatta Plus, Karan Johar first talked about the business aspect of the film. He said, "The Kashmir Files is not made on the budget like a lot of other movies. But it is probably going to be cost-to-profit the biggest hit of Indian cinema. I read on Box Office India and they said that such a movement hasn't happened since Jai Santoshi Maa, since 1975."

The filmmaker further added that there is a lot to learn from 'The Kashmir Files'. He said, "You have got to acknowledge there is something that is connecting with this nation and academically you have to watch it. You have to watch it to absorb, to learn from it that look, there is this movement that has happened. It's no longer a film, it's a movement."

Before Karan Johar, celebs like Kangana Ranaut, Abhishek Bachchan, Ram Gopal Varma as well as Prime Minister Modi himself have praised the film.
