Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, whose 'The Kashmir Files' has become a historic blockbuster, has been making news and hopping studios to talk about his film. On Friday, the Central government announced that the director will be given 'Y' category security with CRPF cover wherever travels in India.

The film, meanwhile, is going extremely strong. The Holi day collections today are expected to cross the Rs 20-22 Cr mark despite competition from Akshay Kumar's new film, 'Bacchchan Pandey'.

As per the makers, 'Kashmir Files' made Rs 106.80 Cr (worldwide) in the first week of its release. It hit the screens on March 11 along with 'Radhe Shyam'.

Amidst the view that the film is a blockbuster because Narendra Modi has endorsed it, director Ram Gopal Varma today said that the PM's own biopic flopped at the box office. "Whatever conspiracy theories being floated to explain the humongous success of 'Kashmir Files', one thing definitely not true is that people are flocking into theatres because PM Modi is endorsing it, because people dint go to see the film on Modi himself," RGV tweeted.
