The Kapil Sharma Show is undeniably the most popular TV program in India. The fact that is features different beloved celebrities on each different episode makes it a treat to watch. However, the show has been off air for quite some time now. The reason for this was that Kapil Sharma needed a break to be with his family while he was about to welcome his second child into the world. Although the show was scheduled to come back a few weeks ago but much to fans displeasure, that hasn't happened yet.

The break for the show has extended for at least a month now. A leading newspaper reported that the reason for The Kapil Sharma Show being off air is the ongoing lockdown in the state of Maharashtra. The show is struggling to find guest stars since there are no movies nearing release which need promotion. The show couldn't hold on its own without the celeb guests so the producers have decided to scrap it till the situation gets better.
