Comedian Kapil Sharma is about to get a biopic on his life which will document his journey to become one of the most successful comics of the country. As the host of the incredibly popular 'The Kapil Sharma Show', Kapil has garnered immense fame but in order to reach that stage, he's had his fair share of struggles too. All this makes up for really interesting premise for a biographical film.

Titled 'Funkar', the film will directed by Mrighdeep Singh and it will be bankrolled by Mahaveer Jain, who announced the project on 14th of January. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the announcement through a tweet that read, "BIOPIC ON KAPIL SHARMA: 'FUKREY' DIRECTOR TO DIRECT... A biopic on #KapilSharma has been announced... Titled #Funkaar... #MrighdeepSinghLamba - director of #Fukrey franchise - will direct... Produced by #MahaveerJain."
