Dr Rajasekhar set a new trend in south Indian filmdom. He created a repute for Telugu films in Kollywood by dubbing a host of Telugu films in Tamil in the late 80s and early 90s and handful of them went on to succeed at the box office.

His films including Idhuthanda Police, Naanthanda CBI among others managed to collect good revenue.

After a long gap, Dr Rajasekhar is once again trying his luck in Kollywood by releasing the Tamil version of his latest Telugu film Evadede Naagendhi. The movie was a huge hit and this is being remade in Tamil with suitable changes.

The Tamil version is titled Udambu Eppadi Irukku.

Rajasekhar is the hero and Samvritha is the heroine. Others starring in the film are Mumait Khan in an important role, Kalabhavan Mani, Raghuvaran, Kotta Srinivasa Rao, Devaraj and others.

Rajasekhar’s wife and yesteryear actress Jeevitha directs the movie. She had directed Rajasekhar for Seshu, a Telugu remake of Vikram's Sethu.
