The 'Angry Indian Goddesses', which was recently premièred at TIFF, got a standing ovation from the audiences. Not only was it well received but the film's later shows got house full as well.
We were told that 'Angry Indian Goddesses' had a very positive word out mouth at the festival owing to which the three later shows were sold out. The cast and crew was euphoric with the response and decided to cancel their tickets and extend their stay in Toronto to celebrate this success.
"They were to come back on Sunday... However they stayed back in Toronto and will be returning tonight i.e Thursday. The girls explored the city and celebrated their success in a gala way," quoted our source.
'Angry Indian Goddesses' is a fun film about Frieda (Sarah-Jane Dias) inviting her closest girl friends to Goa to announce her wedding- catapulting into a wild bachelorette party! The girls ensue on an emotional roller coaster ride- unfolding their characters amidst fun, chaos and complications that follow, driving them to the edge as they transform into Angry Indian Goddesses.
