Titled Aadujeevitham in Malayalam, "The Goat Life" is a gripping survival drama directed by National Award-winner Blessy. Adapted from Benyamin's 2008 Malayalam novel of the same name, inspired by a true story, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. This cinematic endeavor has been in the works since 2009, finally set to hit the screens on March 28, after a long-awaited journey. The much-anticipated trailer was unveiled recently, offering a glimpse into the harrowing tale.

In the trailer, Prithviraj portrays Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant laborer thrust into the unforgiving world of slavery as a goatherd on a Saudi Arabian farm. His quest for survival amidst daunting challenges and the vast desert landscape unfolds as the core narrative. Spanning 1 minute and 33 seconds, the trailer immerses viewers in Najeeb's desperate longing to return home, with Prithviraj's remarkable transformation, adorned with matted hair and beard, evoking intrigue.

Reflecting on the film's journey, Prithviraj shares, “It’s been a long journey and not an easy one; after a decade-long wait, the audience gets to watch the fruit of our hard work and turmoil. Aadujeevitham chronicles the persistent efforts of Blessy and Prithviraj since 2009, with Blessy securing rights to Benyamin's novel and embarking on the screenplay journey. However, financial constraints hindered progress until 2015, when Jimmy Jean-Louis and Steven Adams joined as producers, along with the renowned AR Rahman as the music composer.

Filming took place from 2018 to 2022, marked by a 70-day ordeal in Jordan due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with eventual rescue by the Indian government. The ensemble cast includes Amala Paul, KR Gokul, along with Arab actors Talib al Balushi and Rik Aby in pivotal roles. Resul Pookutty's expertise in sound design further enriches the cinematic experience, promising an immersive journey for the audience.
