The pre-release event of 'The Ghost' was held in Kurnool on Sunday. The film is hitting the screens on October 5. The event was graced by Naga Chaitanya and Akhil as chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion Akkineni Nagarjuna thanked the massive crowds that had come to the ground. It was on October 5 in 1989 that 'Shiva' was released. Then, I held a cycle chain in my hand. This time, I am holding a sword. Once again, the film is getting released on October 5, the 'Bangarraju' actor said.
Director Praveen Sattaru, Nag said, likes both action and drama. When 'Shiva' was released, everyone talked about the sounds. 'The Ghost' will be talked about for effects and music. I have used swords and guns in a lot of films. For 'The Ghost', I underwent intense training. Sonal Chauhan fractured her leg during military training. The last time I visited Kurnool for a shoot was for 'Annamayya', Nag said.
When it was his turn, director Praveen Sattaru said that he was nervous to speak in front of a huge crowd. He thanked his directing team, the production team, and others. My cinematographer Mukesh G has been fantastic. Thank you for putting up with me. Editor Dharmendra has been my right hand since my first movie. CV Rao garu has been another pillar of strength. I should thank my producers Suniel Narang garu, Sharath Marrar garu, and Ram Mohan garu. They are like Trimurtis of 'The Ghost'. It's a blessing that I got to direct Nag sir. I hope I live up to the expectations. I hope our film is loved by everyone. I grew up watching Nag sir in intense roles. When I bagged the opportunity to do a film with him, I wanted to see him in a role that I would love to watch him in, the 'PSV Garuda Vega' director said.
