It was on May 19 that the trailer for 'The Family Man 2' was out. Since then, the hype around the espionage thriller series has only increased manifold. Starring Manoj Bajpayee as Srikanth Tiwari, who works as a senior analyst in the fictional Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell of the NIA, the series stars Samantha Akkineni as an LTTE terrorist named Raji.
Ahead of its release, creators Raj & DK have said that the second season of their creation now belongs to the audience. "Every filmmaker has a tale to tell at the end of every project about its highs and lows. For us, The Family Man Season 2 has proved to be our most challenging project yet," they said today. After the humongous success of the first season, they have been under intense pressure to deliver a dekko this time, too.

"Having worked through a pandemic and two lockdowns, we are forever indebted to our fabulous cast, crew, and the Prime Video team who have persevered through it all. Season 2 drops at midnight. And one thing is overwhelmingly clear The Family Man now belongs to you, the audience, and all its fans," the directors added.
Also featuring Priyamani (as Bajpayee's wife), Sharib Hashmi, Neeraj Madhav, Kishore Kumar and others, the espionage series will stream on Amazon Prime from midnight of Thursday (June 3).
The web series is also coming out amid controversy in Tamil Nadu, where several people have trolled the show for allegedly portraying the Eelam Tamil struggle in an unflattering light. This is only a presumption and one has to wait for the series to release before making any judgment.
