'The Dirty Picture' to have "Boombatt" opening in Dubai

Come December 1st, Dubai will be all set go dirty… For, team ‘The Dirty Picture’ will land on this Arabian shore to mark a “Boombatt” opening of the film.

Tomorrow, Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor will give Dubai a heavy dose of “Ooh La La” with a daylong promotions culminating in a special red carpet screening at the Grand Cineplex, Wafi.

Following a press meet at the Grand Hyatt is likely to be a meet-and-greet with fans at the Dubai Mall, also marking the National Day celebrations in Dubai. The stars’ day-long promotions will finally conclude with a walk down the grand red carpet screening.

‘The Dirty Picture’ is set against the colourful and entertaining backdrop of the fierce male-dominated South-Indian film industry of the 80’s. It chronicles the meteoric rise and steep fall of a screen sensation. The quintessential siren, Reshma, knew her audiences, and it didn't seem like anything would stop the ambitious starlet, till it did, in the form of unrequited love. To the world, she was the queen of sensuality. But at heart, she was just another woman yearning for love in a ruthless world.

Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, ‘The Dirty Picture’ is directed by Milan Luthria and music is by Vishal - Shekhar. Bannered under Alt Entertainment, the film is distributed internationally by Cinergy Independent Film Services.

‘The Dirty Picture’ unfolds on Indian screens from 2nd December.
